A new m/v Sredna Gora is joining NAVIBULGAR fleet
Today, June 11, the flag of the 32 000 DWT bulk carrier m/v Sredna Gora has been raised at the Chinese shipyard Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co.
The godmother of the ship is Mrs. Maria Terzieva, Finance Director of Huvepharma Group.
The ship is the 14th of fifteen bulk carriers from Kom series ordered by Navigation Maritime Bulgare.
Captain Ivan Todorov and engineer Rumen Aleksandrov are her first master and chief engineer accordingly.
The last ship of this series / tbn Stara Planina/ is scheduled for delivery within 2026.
This vessel is the 3rd one in Navibulgar’s history named after Sredna Gora mountain.
The flag of the first Sredna Gora was raised on April 21,1964.
She was a 9600 tdw ore-carrier. Captain Vasil Atanasov and engineer Georgi Apostolov were her first master and chief enginner.
The lady was serving in Navibulgar fleet until 2003.
The second Sredna Gora was serving in Navibulgar fleet from 2016 to 2021. Captain Nikolay Stanev and engineer Mihail Tomov were her first master and chief enginner.
