Naming ceremony of the 10th from the series 45 000 tonne bulk carrier m/v Tzarevetz
Today, July 23 2024, the flag of the 10th from the series 45.000 tonne bulk carrier m/v “ Tzarevetz” has been raised at the Chinese shipyard Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co.
Ms. Duan Chuan is the godmother of the second vessel Tzarevetz in Navibulgar’s history.
Tsarevets is not only a hill in Veliko Tarnovo town and a fortress in the old capital of Tarnovgrad, but also a peak in the history of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom (1185 – 1396).

Captain Ivan Kiryakov and engineer Atanas Naydenov are her first master and chief engineer accordingly.
This is yet another confirmation of the consistent policy of Navibulgar management to constantly react to the changes on the international freight market and successfully expand its positions by renewing the fleet.
One more vessel from the other suuccessful series 32.000 tonne lake fitted bulk carrier is expected to join the fleet within 2024. She will be named Koznitza.
The current 2024 will be recorded in the history of the 132-year-old company as the year with the most newly built vessels.

The delivery of three more vessels from the 32.000 tonne bulk carrier series is scheduled within 2025.
Till the end of 2026 the delivery of the 15th of the same lake fitted series is expected.
Furthermore the 45.000 tonne bulk carrier series is scheduled to be supplemented with three more vessels in 2027.
As a result with total expected delivery of ten newly built ships Navibulgar will maintain the average age of 7 years of its fleet.

The first Tzarevetz was built in Varna. Her maiden voyage was under the command of captain Petko Petkov to the Ukrainian port of Berdyansk.
The lady was serving in Navibulgar fleet from 1998 to 2020.
